This painting was made with the idea that visual images and music are at times almost the same thing. 'Songbird' echoes the simple form of a  bird, and is composed of visual structures that for me parallel the experience of hearing beats and tones. 'Songbird' is one of the cover images I supplied for Roger and Brian Eno's collaborative album 'Mixing Colours' 2020.
