This monumental creature first appeared in a digital sequence that accompanied some live performances by the composer and musician Roger Eno. The image stuck, and thus became embodied in this etching. The background suggests intertwined plant forms, against which the dog resolutely stands, like a sentinel. The simplification of the form also suggests sculpture, or even architecture, with archways between the legs, and girders for internal structures.
The print is on 100% rag acid-free Hahnemulhe etching paper, with a 5 cm border on all four sides. Each print is signed and dated, and numbered (out of 75). Each print in this small edition is in effect unique due to the application and flow of the lightfast watercolours.
